Navigating Triggered Negatively Charged Feelings
Resilency and Practice

This past Saturday, I found myself deep in a familiar dance—caught in a moment that triggered old feelings just beneath the surface. Something small, a disagreement over a baby backpack, pulled me into that familiar spiral. It took about fifteen minutes before I even realized what had happened. I know many of you will relate to this—the sudden rush of emotions, the flare of something that feels bigger than the moment itself.

It’s easy to think of these triggered negatively charged feelings as obstacles, things I need to push away or avoid. But I’ve learned something crucial: they’re not obstacles at all. They’re invitations. Invitations to look deeper, to clear what’s been lingering beneath the surface. Often, these are negatively charged feelings—things I've tucked away, perhaps unconsciously, that rise up when I least expect them.

In that space of discomfort, instead of rushing to fix or escape, I paused. I sat with it, allowing myself to feel it without judgment. This is where the real clearing begins. I'm not here to force anything out of my experience. Instead, I create space for it to be seen, understood, and ultimately, released.

I know that it can be challenging, especially when the emotions are intense. But clearing is a process, one that takes time, because it requires me to hold both vulnerability and strength simultaneously. When I stop seeing these emotions as burdens and start recognizing them as part of the journey, I open myself up to something profound—a deeper connection to myself,, and a way to clear the charge that keeps me stuck.

My message to you, is to move through this process together, to trust the moments of discomfort. They are the doorway to clearing, to healing, and to making room for the peace we all seek. When we embrace this approach, we transform not just the emotions, but the energy we carry forward.

Let’s continue to honor these moments as opportunities. With each one, we get closer to clarity, to clearing what no longer serves us, and to connecting more deeply with our true selves. Together, we’re doing the work of clearing the path forward, step by step.
